Donation custom fields capture additional information about the donor or donation.
Create a Donation Custom Field
- Navigate to Fundraising.
- Click Fundraising on the navigation bar, and then click Donation Custom Fields.
- Click Create Custom Field.
- Enter the applicable Create information, and then click Create Donation Custom Field. Asterisks indicate required fields.
- Label - The name of the custom field.

Type - Determines how the information for the custom field will be captured. There are four types.

Text Box - An open-ended way of capturing profile specific information.
- A textbox type could also act as a note for the donation; however, a notes section is already provided.
- Dropdown - Predetermined specific information you would like to gather by creating selection options.

Checkbox List - Allows you to predetermine specific information you would like to gather by creating options for multiple selections.
- Examples: Donor status, member status, volunteer interest, or first time visitor status.
- Date - Captures specific date information by using a calendar option that allows you to select month, day, and year.

Text Box - An open-ended way of capturing profile specific information.
- Required - Check this box if the custom field will be required.

Active - Check this box if the custom field should be visible.
Edit and View a Donation Custom Field
- Navigate to Fundraising.
- Click Fundraising on the navigation bar, and then click Donation Custom Fields.
- Click the name of the custom field.
- Click Edit.
- The Appears On area displays whether the donation custom field is located on the donation hub and specific fundraising opportunities, or none.
- The Appears On area displays whether the donation custom field is located on the donation hub and specific fundraising opportunities, or none.
- Update the applicable Edit Donation Custom Field information, and then click Update.
Inactivate Donation Custom Fields
When a custom field is inactivated, it will no longer be visible when creating or viewing an opportunity.
Inactivate From the Donation Custom Fields Page
- Navigate to Fundraising.
- Click Fundraising on the navigation bar, and then click Donation Custom Fields.
- Click the toggle in the Active column for the custom field you want to inactivate.
- Click Inactive to view a list of all inactive custom fields.
- Click Inactive to view a list of all inactive custom fields.
Inactivate Within the Custom Field
- Navigate to Fundraising.
- Click Fundraising on the navigation bar, and then click Donation Custom Fields.
- Click the name of the custom field.
- Click Edit.
- Uncheck the Active box, and then click Update.
Donation custom fields can be added to an opportunity form and the donation hub.
