Foundant Courses Best Practices
General Course Guidance
- Click the laptop with the graduation cap icon to access Foundant Courses or return to the Course at any time. This icon is only visible in Sandbox sites.
- You may be prompted to login after a period of inactivity; this is normal.
- Collapse each lesson section using the triangle icon to minimize scrolling when locating a new or incomplete lesson.
Wait for Each Step to Appear
If a lesson takes you through a workflow you are already familiar with, you might find yourself getting ahead of the steps. This can cause the lesson to get stuck. Always wait for each step to appear before proceeding with the process, even if you already know which page you are going to and what you are doing. In addition, a slow internet connection may also be a cause for step delays. If this is the case, be patient as it may take a few seconds for the next step to appear.
X Button in a Step
The x button is available in the top right corner of every step in a lesson. The x button allows you to leave the lesson without completing it.
Complete the actions described in each step until you reach the final step, and then click Done to ensure the lesson is fully completed. The Done button is typically located in a step that says, “Complete!"
Refresh a Page
By refreshing your page using Ctrl+F5 (Command+R), you will refresh the saved cache for the page you are on. This will also refresh Foundant Courses and will occasionally resolve a "stuck" step if it was not caused by the above three reasons. If this does not resolve the issue, reach out to our Support for assistance.
The Help Menu and Foundant Courses are supported by the following browsers:

- Click Settings.
- Under Privacy and security, click Cookies and other site data.

This is an important additional step if you are using the Safari browser.
Allow Cookies for a Specific Site
When third-party cookies are not enabled on your browser and you click Dashboards or Reporting on the navigation bar, your browser may get stuck attempting to open the new webpage repeatedly without success. The resources listed below are intended to help prevent loading issues.
If you would prefer to not allow all cookies, refer to your preferred browser's knowledge base to learn about how you can allow cookies for specific sites. Below are the links to each of the knowledge bases for the recommended browsers.

In order for Foundant Courses to best function and in order for the Foundant team to record your results for any Foundant Certificates you earn, any domains related to "walkme.com" cannot be blocked by any ad-blockers or safe search extensions installed on your browser.
In general, you can check which domains are blocked by an ad-blocker or safe search extension by going to the settings for the product and locating the list. Refer to instructions or support for the product if you are not able to locate this information.
Clear Browsing Data
Web browsers store information about your browsing activity to improve your experience (e.g. for faster page loads, to auto-fill username/passwords, etc.). However, if the cache becomes overloaded, it can cause problems including slow page loads, missing icons, and formatting issues. If you experience issues with the Help Menu or Foundant Courses not appearing, try clearing your browsing data.
Click the appropriate link below to learn how to clear your browsing data.
Foundant Courses are only supported on desktop sites. A laptop or desktop device is necessary to access course content.
