This setting is designed to prevent an applicant from creating more than one request in the same process. This is a site-wide setting, meaning it will be in effect for all processes in your site if enabled.
When enabled, this setting has the following effects for an applicant who has already created a request in a process:
- On the Apply page, the Apply button for the process in which they've already created a request will appear as a grey button, rather than a blue button.
- This is meant to discourage the applicant from clicking the button again, but they can still click it and start a new request if they choose to do so.
- This is meant to discourage the applicant from clicking the button again, but they can still click it and start a new request if they choose to do so.
- If the applicant does click the Apply button for the process, they will see a warning message informing them that they already have a request in the process.
- The message displays the status for the request and provides a link for them to access it.
- They also have the option to click Apply which allows them to continue with creating a new request in the process.
If the applicant's existing request in the process has been deleted or abandoned, the Apply button will not be greyed out for the process and they will not see the warning message.
