If you have a Yearly Tax Receipt template uploaded to your system, you can run yearly tax receipts for your donors individually or in batch.
Print and/or Email Single Yearly Tax Receipt
- Navigate to the Donors page.
- Enter the donor name in the Search Donors field and select the Donor you want from the drop-down list.
- Click Yearly Tax Receipt in the left-side menu.
- Enter the Start Date and End Date, and then click Submit.
- To limit results to donations with serial numbers, check the Only Include Donations With Serial Numbers box.
- To combine donations made by households, check the Combine Households box.
- To display public securities in the grant total, check the Include Public Securities In Total box.
- Email the receipt to an address in the profile or a new email address, or download the receipt as a PDF or Microsoft Word document.
Print and/or Email Bulk Yearly Tax Receipts
Batch Yearly tax receipts can be generated from profile Filter Reports and from Custom Reports.
From Filter Reports
These instructions outline starting from Donors, but you can also start in Profiles List view.
- Navigate to the Donors page.
- Click List in the left-side menu.
- Apply one or multiple filters to the list of donors.
- Click Email Yearly Tax Receipt or Print Yearly Tax Receipt in the left-side menu.
- Enter the Start Date and End Date, and then click Submit.
- To limit results to donations with serial numbers, check the Only Include Donations With Serial Numbers box.
- To combine donations made by households, check the Combine Households box.
- To display public securities in the grant total, check the Include Public Securities In Total box.
- Click [Yes] to confirm that you want to email/print tax receipts to the selected profiles.
- The number of yearly tax receipts may be different than the number of profiles in your list if you didn't use a donation time frame filter that matches your tax year date range.
- This starts a background job to generate the file.
- Click Click here to see the status of the job.

Once the tax receipt job has finished, the Last Status column will read Job completed.

If you chose to print the yearly tax receipts, click the Print File link to download the file.
From Custom Reports
Yearly tax receipts can also be generated from Custom Reports. This can be useful if you don't want to send duplicate tax receipts (both email and printed) to donors who have both an email and mailing address listed on their profile. By generating your yearly tax receipts from a Custom Report, you'll also be able to see a list of which donor records have email and/or mailing addresses and which ones do not.
This section outlines building a profiles report, but you can send yearly tax receipts from any custom report that includes Profile ID. Yearly tax receipts will only generate for profiles with donations in the time period you select.
- Navigate to the Reports page.
- In the Custom Reports section, click [Create] next to Profile.
- Click Profile Id to add the field to the report.
- Notice the left-side menu now has bulk actions available. Bulk actions are available when Profile Id is on any custom report.
- Click Name.
- Click Email.
- Click Filter.
- Click Email.
- To view all donor records that do not have an email address in the profile, click the radio button IS, check the NULL box, and then click Apply Report Filter.
The report will list all donor records that do not have an email address in the profile.
Now that your report is built, follow the same tax year selection and distribution instructions outlined in above section.
