Customize Your Donation Hub

The donation hub is a donor facing experience that is embedded on your organization's website to showcase and facilitate online donations from the public. Your donation hub is one of the largest aspects of fundraising. The donation hub allows individuals from outside your organization to select a specific donation option for opportunities your organization is promoting.

Prior to creating your donation hub, you must have opportunities created to add to your hub.
 

Every fundraising opportunity has a donation form that can be customized with specific donation options and configurations. Configure an Opportunity Form provides detailed instructions for how to set up a donation form for an opportunity. In addition to the donation form, these configurations are also available to display on the donation hub regardless of what opportunities are added.

  • Enable Hub - Allows your donation hub to be active, so donors can visit your hub and make donations.
  • Allow Anonymous Donations - Allows your donors to donate anonymously.
    • If a donor checks the box for Anonymous, their profile is marked as anonymous. This serves as a flag for your organization to not use the donor's name in external communications.
      • The donor's name will still populate for email communication and in reports.
      • If the donor wants to change their anonymous status, they must reach out to your organization for the change to be made. 
  • Allow Consent to Contact - Allows your donors to decide whether they consent to follow-up contact after they donate.
  • Allow Company Field - Allows your donors to disclose what company to which they are affiliated.
  • Allow Honoree Field - Allows donors to make a donation in honor of someone.
  • Copy Code Snippet - Click this button to copy the code for your donation hub and embed it onto your Nonprofit's website.
Fundraising opportunities are the only opportunities that can be added to the donation hub. In order for an opportunity to be added and shown on your donation hub, the Enable Donation Form toggle must be toggled on within the specific opportunity's donation form. Configure an Opportunity Form provides guidance on how to enable the donation form for any opportunity.
 

A promoted opportunity is visible on your donation hub and donations can be made toward that opportunity. Donation options for each promoted opportunity are determined by how they were configured on the specific opportunity's donation form.

  1. Navigate to Fundraising and click Donation Hub on the navigation bar.
  2. Click Edit in Hub Opportunities.edit button

  3. Click Add to Hub next to the opportunity you wish to promote.add to hub button

    • Click the arrows or drag the handle icon to the left of the opportunity name to rearrange opportunities based on importance or date.arrows and handle icon

    • Click the Show progress bar toggle to display the progress bar for an opportunity on your donation hub.show progress bar toggle

  4. Click Save.
    • If you do not complete this step, the promoted opportunities will not appear on the donation hub.save button

When an opportunity is removed from the donation hub, it is no longer visible to donors and donations cannot be made toward that opportunity.

  1. Navigate to Fundraising and click Donation Hub on the navigation bar.
  2. Click Edit in Hub Opportunities.edit button

  3. Click Remove next to the desired opportunity.remove button

  4. Click Save.
    • If you do not complete this step, the promoted opportunities will remain on the donation hub.save button
  1. Navigate to Fundraising and click Opportunities on the navigation bar.
  2. Click the opportunity to which you want to add an image.opportunity name

  3. Click Edit.edit button

  4. Click Opportunity Image, and then upload your image file.
    • Press the control key on your keyboard while using the scroll wheel on your mouse to size the image.opportunity image button

  5. Click Update.update button

Once the image is attached to the opportunity, it will show up with the opportunity in your donation hub.

Donation custom fields and single opportunity forms can be added to your donation hub to collect additional information from your donors during the donation process.

  1. Navigate to Fundraising and click Donation Hub on the navigation bar.
  2. Click Edit in Donation Custom Fields.edit button

  3. Check the box next to each applicable custom field in the drop-down menu, and then click Add.add button

    • Click the arrows or drag the handle icon to the left of the donation custom field name to rearrange the location of the donation custom fields.arrows and handle icon

  4. Click Save.
    • If you do not complete this step, the donation custom fields will not be included on the donation hub.save button

  1. Navigate to Fundraising and click Donation Hub on the navigation bar.
  2. Click Edit in Donation Custom Fields.edit button

  3. Click Remove next to desired donation custom field.remove button

  4. Click Save.
    • If you do not complete this step, the donation custom fields will remain on the donation hub.save button

After you have completed the setup of your donation hub, navigate to the bottom of the page to configure payment settings.

  • Link your Square account to your hub.
    • Square Integration provides more information on how to setup and link your Square account. 
  • Set the credit card fee.
    • Visit Square's website or your Square account to determine what percent your credit card fee should be set to. 
  • Enable the fee to show on the hub so donors have the ability to cover the fee.
    • This feature is optional and can be turned on and off by clicking the Enable Credit Card fees in the hub toggle.

  1. Navigate to Fundraising and click Donation Hub on the navigation bar.
  2. Click View Hub.
    • A new tab will open and will display a preview of how the donation hub will look from a donor's perspective.View hub button

Upon completion and publication of your donation hub, you can embed your hub onto your website.

  1. Navigate to Fundraising and click Donation Hub on the navigation bar. 
  2. Click Copy Code Snippet in Configuration.
