Prior to migrating your fundraising data into NonprofitCore, you will need to clean and organize your data for import. To help make the import process smooth, there are some standard fields that need to be included.
There are two types of opportunities for which you can import data into NonprofitCore. The two opportunity types include fundraising opportunities and grant opportunities. Fundraising Glossary provides a detailed description of each type of opportunity. If you are importing any opportunity data, you will need to have at least one Excel file for each type of opportunity, fundraising and grant. These files will be your list of historical or current opportunities. An additional file for notes is available, if you would like to migrate notes from a previous system. Detailed information on validation can be found in Validation Steps for Fundraising Migration.
Below is a list of necessary fields with descriptions for the fundraising imports. There is also a screenshot that shows example data for each field within the import file.

File: Notes
The process for importing notes for opportunities is identical to importing notes in CRM. You can import notes with opportunities or profiles from both CRM and Fundraising. Import Fields for CRM Migration provides detailed guidance on how to import notes. If you have notes associated with an opportunity, that opportunity will show next to the note within the opportunity column.
