Profile records capture names and contact information for people and organizations with whom you interact. Profiles can be donors, grantees, vendors, volunteers, or board members. There are three types of profiles.
- Individual - A single person such as a board member, donor, or grantee.
- Organization - An organization you interact with such as an event sponsor or utility company.
- Household - Generally two people that you interact with at the same time which could include a couple that donate together.
When creating profiles, it is recommended that you use consistent naming conventions such as spelling out “Street” or using “St” for all addresses rather than using both. Complete as much information on the profile to avoid creating duplicate profiles. It is also recommended that you record factual information only.
