Once a journal entry has been created, there are several actions within the system that may be performed.
Once the books have been closed, journal entries may not be edited, posted, or unposted.
Unposted Journal Entries
The following actions may only be performed on unposted journal entries. Navigate to Accounting and click Journal Entries on the navigation bar to get started.
Post a Journal Entry
- Locate the journal entry and click Post.
- Click Post All to post every journal entry.
- Click Post All to post every journal entry.
Delete a Journal Entry
- Locate the journal entry and click the trash can icon.
- Click Delete Journal Entry in the Delete Entry pop-up.
Posted Journal Entries
The following actions may only be performed on posted journal entries. Navigate to Accounting and click Journal Entries on the navigation bar to get started.
Unpost a Journal Entry
- Locate the journal entry and click Unpost.
View a Journal Entry
This action may only be performed when the books are closed.
- Locate the journal entry and click the eye icon.
Posted/Unposted Journal Entries
The following actions may be performed posted and unposted journal entries. Navigate to Accounting and click Journal Entries on the navigation bar to get started.
Edit a Journal Entry
- Locate the journal entry and click the pencil icon.
- Make the applicable changes, and then click Edit Journal Entry.
Copy a Journal Entry
- Locate the journal entry and click the copy icon.
- Make the applicable changes, and then click Create Journal Entry.
Filter the Journal Entries Page
- Click Filters.
- Select the filters to find specific journal entries, and then click Apply Filters.
