If you are nearing the end of training and are about to go live with your Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) or Scholarship Lifecycle Manager (SLM) site, refer to the steps below to ensure everything has been completed.
Conversation with Foundant Team Member
- Confirm with your Foundant team member which of the finalized grants or scholarships processes, forms, email templates, and merge templates should be copied from the Sandbox site into the Live site.
- Once these items are copied to the Live site, make any final edits before turning the first processes on.
- If certain items are not ready to be copied to the Live site at this time, continue making edits in Sandbox and contact Support when they are ready to be copied to Live.
- Cc your Foundant team member on the email.
- For a GLM site, review the option to participate in Candid's eReporting Program and discuss any questions with your Foundant team member.
- Schedule the next relevant calls with your Foundant team member.
- Schedule your next training call if you are going live but have not yet completed implementation and training.
- If applicable, schedule your evaluator training call to be held approximately two weeks before online evaluations will begin for your first grant or scholarship cycle.
- Schedule your applicant training webinar if you purchased this option with your license.
- Your Foundant team member will provide you with the Live site link.
- This is the link that can be embedded on your foundation's website.
Pages and Site Settings
- Contact Support with any of the following items:
- Changes to the Registration Pages.
- Custom messaging to add to the Apply page or the Submission Confirmation page.
- Updates to the GLM/SLM site skin.
- Customize the Logon Page Message for the Live site as needed.
- Confirm that the site settings for the Live site are configured as needed.
Process Manager
- Confirm that the process description and start and end dates are configured as needed for each process.
- To open a grant or scholarship process to applicants in the Live site, toggle the process on.
- If using the Eligibility Quiz feature, activate the eligibility quiz for each process.
Universal Application
- Confirm that the universe Summary tab is updated with a description and start and end dates are configured to reflect when you want applicants to apply and when the application is due.
- Review Due Date in the Application tab. Set a ‘Hard Deadline’ if you do not want applicants to apply beyond this date.
- To open a process to applicants in the Live site, toggle the process on. Reminder that if the start date is in the future, applicants will be able to see it on the apply page when toggled on, but they will not be able to apply until that date.
Additional Items
- Add any additional internal users, such as staff members and evaluators, in the Live site.
- Evaluators can then be added to the appropriate processes.
- Confirm that your foundation's website has been updated to reflect your new online grant or scholarship site and instructions.
- Your Foundant team member can provide relevant applicant tutorial links or existing Foundant client website examples as needed.
- Register for Compass and set up your profile.
