This article is relevant to the Universal Application feature. Failed eligibility statuses cannot be overridden at this time with the Eligibility Quiz feature.
As an administrator, you have the ability to override a failed eligibility result for an applicant. This means that if they were not found eligible for an opportunity, you can override that failed eligibility status on an individual basis without changing the eligibility rules.
Overriding a failed eligibility status cannot be undone. Once this action is taken, the eligibility result cannot be retested; it will remain in the Overridden (passed) status.
- Click Search in the upper navigation bar, and then click Eligibility Center.
- On the Eligibility Results page, search for the eligibility result with the failed status that will be overridden.
- Click the Status for the eligibility result.
- Click Override Status.
The status will change to Overridden.
Additional Information
- The system will automatically submit the applicant's request for the opportunity if there are no supplemental questions. If there are supplemental questions, the applicant can access the draft request from their dashboard to complete and submit it.
- It is recommended that administrators communicate with the applicant in this scenario because they are not automatically notified about the new request.
- Clicking the Overridden status displays the name of the administrator who overrode the status and the date when that action occurred. The status change log for the request will also show that the administrator made a change on that date.
