The proxy feature in Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) and Scholarship Lifecycle Manager (SLM) allows administrators and grants managers to log in as another user without knowing their credentials to complete or troubleshoot forms on their behalf.
User Roles: Administrators and Grants Manager. Grants Managers cannot proxy in as an administrator.
When to Proxy In as Another User:
An evaluation or form needs to be submitted, an administrator or grants manager can proxy in as the user without knowing the user's credentials.
An administrator or grants manager can proxy in as the user to help troubleshoot the system.
Proxy In as Another User
To proxy in as another user, locate the user's contact information and select their email address.
- Locate the user's contact information.
- Enter the user's name on the Search Users page.
- Click the Proxy As button on the User Summary page.
- Click the Proxy button on the Contacts page on the Organization Summary page.

Click the user's email address.
- Click OK.
You are now logged in as the other user and should automatically land on their dashboard.
To return to your account, click the user’s name in the upper right corner, then click Stop Proxying as.
Quick Proxy Feature
To use the Quick Proxy feature, navigate to the relevant workload page and select the user's email address.
- Navigate to the relevant workload page.
- Click the paper and pencil icon for the request.
- Click the user's email address.
You are now logged in as the user on the form that you proxied from.
Submit a Form for a User
To submit a form for a user, proxy in as that user, navigate to the form, and click Submit Follow Up.
- After proxying in as the user, navigate to the form to be updated or submitted.
- Make any changes if needed, and then click Submit Follow Up.
Any changes made while proxied in as an applicant will be logged under your name in the Status Change Log.
