Create, Edit, and Assign Distribution Types

Distribution types define how the spendable balance of an endowed fund is calculated. 

Create Distribution Type

1. Navigate to the Distributions page and click Create Type in the left-side menu.
2. Enter the applicable Create Distribution Type information, and then click Create.
   • Name, Distribution Type, and Percent are required fields.
     • Name
     • Type - Type of calculation used to determine the amount to be dispersed.
       
       • avg per qtr - Average Per Quarter
       • avg per year - Average Per Year
       • percent
     • Percent - Distribution percent
       • Enter as a decimal (Ex: .02 = 2%)
     • Options - These fields will vary based on the Type selected. 
       • Hover over the SmartTips (question mark icons) in CommunitySuite for field guidance or reference distribution types for additional information.

Edit Distribution Type

1. Navigate to the Distributions page and click Distribution Types in the left-side menu. 
2. Click the ID of the distribution type to be edited.
   
   
   
3. Click Edit in the left-side menu.
4. Edit the applicable Edit Distribution Type fields, and then click Save.
   
   
   

Assign Distribution Types

Distribution types can be assigned to funds by editing a fund or using bulk edit functionality.
