The eReport map is a feature supported by Candid as part of their Electronic Reporting Program. By contributing your data to Candid, you receive a free, interactive, custom mapping tool which provides a visual representation of how your funding was dispersed geographically. Candid's eReporting Program provides details.
To get started, an eReport from your Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) site must be sent to Candid. You can then provide Candid with an updated eReport at the cadence of your choice.
Generate the eReport
Contact Support to generate your eReport for the first time. Support will include standard fields in the report; you have the option to add additional fields as desired. Support will notify you when the saved report is available in your GLM site. Once you are satisfied with your eReport, take the following steps to submit the data to Candid.
- Click Reporting on the upper navigation bar, and then click Reports & Data Sets.
- Click Run Report next to the saved eReport.
- After making any desired changes, click the download icon, and then click CSV.
- Save the spreadsheet to your computer, and then attach it to an email.
- Do not add any formatting to the report.
- Send the email to egrants@candid.org.
- The subject line of the email should be, "eReport for <Your Foundation Name> – Foundant Client".
- Cc Support on this email.
Within a couple of weeks, Candid will provide your map information to Foundant. The map will be turned on in your site, and you will be notified that it is ready.
- Click Reporting on the upper navigation bar, and then click eReport Map to access it.
Update the eReport
Typically, administrators will send data updates to Candid yearly, but updates can be sent at the cadence of your choice.
- Adjust any date filters or selected processes on the saved eReport to generate updated data.
- Export the report and submit it to Candid using the same steps detailed in the above section.
- Remember to include "eReport for <Your Foundation Name> – Foundant Client" in the subject line of the email.
