CommunitySuite allows your organization to manage key functions all in one place. This includes fund accounting, CRM, fundraising, communication, grants and scholarship processing, and donations.
Introduction to CommunitySuite and Navigation Tutorial
The tutorial below provides a brief description of how to navigate CommunitySuite.
Home Page
The Home page displays page links categorized by Accounting, Money In, Money Out, Reporting, Communication, General, Profile Designations, and System Configuration. Specific information can be searched from this page also.
Home Button
There are two options that will return users to the Home page.
- Click the organization's logo.
- Click the Home button.
Search
The search functionality is a global search that searches the organization's site for profiles, transactions, grants, scholarships, vendors, and more. Type in letters or numbers to generate search results. When the desired result is selected, users are taken directly to the page containing the result's information.
Top Navigation
The top navigation contains drop-down menus that are organized by object. Users can use these drop-down menus to navigate to different pages from anywhere in the site.
Navigate to Pages
There are two options in which to navigate to specific pages.
- Click on a page name from the Home page.
- Click on a page from the top navigation drop-down menu.
Left-Side Menu
The left-side menu contains a list of various actions that can be taken on specific pages. Those actions can include Edit, Display, Create, Add Task, Remove, and more.
Legacy ID Search
This feature allows organizations to search for records migrated from previous systems by entering that system's ID.
System URLs
A listing of all system URLs with accompanying labels can be found in this area. If permissions are not set for specific areas of the system for the user accessing this page, then those URLs are not displayed in their view.
Some URLS will also have a QR code generator that will create a PDF of a QR code that opens in a new tab when clicked. Users can copy or save the QR code. Users can use the QR code generators in System URLs or find the direct QR code for individual listings by clicking the ID on grant catalogs, funds, event campaigns, or nonprofits.
- Giving Hub - The URL for the public-facing website that allows organizations to accept online donations for funds, grant catalogs, and nonprofits.
- Affiliate Giving Page - The URL for a secondary giving hub that can list only affiliate funds.
- Direct Fund Giving Page - The URL for the giving page of a specific fund.
- Public Fund Request - The URL for the public fund request form on the Giving Hub.
- Grant Catalog - The public-facing URL that lists all catalogs that are currently open.
- Direct Grant Catalog - The URL for a specific open grant catalog.
- Grant Catalog Requests - The URL for the general request page for all grant catalog requests.
- Direct Catalog Requests - The URL for a specific grant catalog request page.
- Direct Catalog Request Grantee - The URL for a request within a specific grant catalog for a specific grantee.
- Event Tickets Page - The URL for the main events page that displays a list of all campaigns that have been set up for online registration.
- Direct Event Page - The URL for a specific event campaign.
- Direct Event Ticket Page - The URL for a specific ticket within a specific event.
- NonProfit Directory - The URL for the Nonprofit Directory that displays information about the nonprofits being served.
- Direct Nonprofit Directory Page - The URL for a specific nonprofit on the directory.
- Profile Type Directory -The URL for the Profile Type Directory that displays information about profile types and the profiles that have been added to them.
- Direct Profile Type Directory Page - The URL for a specific profile type on the directory.
- Csuite Login - The URL for the CommunitySuite admin login page.
- Portal Login - The URL for the organization's Portal login page.
User Information
Users can access information related to their individual user account on the Your Information page. On this page, users can view reports they created and saved or reports shared by other users, edit their profile, view their tasks and jobs, change their password, send emails, edit theme preferences, and more.
To access the user information page:
- Click your name in the upper right corner.
- Click the applicable user action in the left-side menu.
Modify User Themes
Users can choose from three themes to apply to their CommunitySuite site view. If a user updates their theme, the change will apply to that user only and will not affect other users in the site. The default Light theme will always be available. To modify your user theme:
- From the user information page, click Edit Preferences in the left-side menu.
- Select a theme from the Theme drop-down menu, and then click Save.
- Themes include: Light (Default), Dark, Contrast, and Green.

Compass
The compass icon directs you to Foundant's online community called Compass.
Idea Lab
The lightbulb icon directs you to Foundant's Idea Lab.
Release Notes
The present icon directs you to the current year's release notes. Additional resources related to current and upcoming releases can also be found on this page.
Foundant Resources
The 9-dot icon directs you to Foundant's Client Resource Center, which includes Upcoming Events, Product Training, Sector Education, and other additional resources.
