Universal Application: Form Due Dates

Form due dates control when applicants can submit application and follow up forms within a universe. The due date set for the application form determines the final date applicants can submit their common application, while follow up form due dates determine when recipients must submit renewal or progress reports.

When to Use Form Due Dates

Use form due dates to:

• Set final submission deadlines for application forms
• Control when follow up forms must be submitted by scholarship recipients
• Prevent late submissions by enforcing hard deadlines
• Automate follow up form due dates based on award decision dates

Add a Form Due Date

1. Click Tools on the upper navigation bar, and then click Process Manager. 
2. Click the universe name.
    
3. Click the Application or Follow Ups tab.
    
4. For the applicable form, select the due date type from the Choose Type drop-down menu.
   • Not Using - There will be no set due date for the form. 
   • Specific Date - This makes the form available until a chosen date and time.
     • Configure the due date, time, and time zone after selecting this type.
        
   • Time Span - This option is available for follow up forms. This allows the due date to be set based on the number of days, weeks, months, or years before or after the decision date, or any other date field created in the universe.
   • Sliding Date - This option is available for follow up forms. This allows the due date to be set at the end or beginning of the month, quarter, year, or specific month after the decision date.
   • To use the Hard Deadline feature, click the toggle on.
     • Turning this on will restrict applicants from submitting the form after the deadline has passed.
