The Pinned Comment feature in Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) gives the ability to pin a comment on the Organization Summary and User Summary. The pinned comment is displayed on the Organization or User Summary, Request Summary page, and all related Form Submission pages. Only one comment can be pinned at a time, and comments can be pinned or unpinned. Pinning a comment will automatically sort it to the top of the list on the Comments tab.
Pinned comments will be visible to all user types except applicants. Administrators and grants managers who have the Manage Users or Manage Organizations permission can add and edit pinned comments.
Pinned comments cannot be reported on, exported, added to custom columns, or added to merge documents. Pinned comments do not integrate with CommunitySuite.

- The comment count badge on the Comments tab will turn yellow and a comment icon with a yellow dot will be added next to the organization’s or user’s name on the Summary page and Form Submission pages.

Additional Information
- A notification displaying the pinned comment will automatically be open on the Organization or User Summary page, Request Summary page, and all related Form Submission pages. Click the X to close the pinned comment notification; it will remain closed for the duration of the user’s current session. The pinned comment notification will be reopened by default at the start of each new session and can be reopened after being closed by clicking on the comment icon.
- When organizations or users with a pinned comment are merged, pinned comments will be handled as follows:
- If there is a pinned comment on the organization or user identified as Primary during the merge, that comment will remain pinned on the remaining organization or user.
- If there is no pinned comment on the organization or user identified as Primary during the merge but there is a pinned comment on only one of the other organizations or users being merged into the Primary, then that pinned comment will be maintained and appear in the Comments tab of the remaining organization or user after the merge.
- If there is no pinned comment on the organization or user identified as Primary during the merge and there is a pinned comment on more than one of the other organizations or users being merged into the Primary, then no pinned comment will be maintained as each organization and user can only have one pinned comment; however, all comments from all organizations or users being merged will be added to the Comments tab of the remaining organization or user and can be re-pinned after the merge.
