Universes can be toggled on and off on the Process Manager page. Opportunities within a universe can be toggled on and off from the Applicant Opportunities tab of the universe.
Universe Toggled On
- The universe shows up on the Apply page, regardless of the start/end date range.
- If it's within the start/end date range of the universe or if the universe doesn't have start and end dates, applicants can start a new request within the universe.
- When toggling a universe on, all opportunities within the universe are toggled on by default.
- Opportunities can be toggled off or on again within a universe that is toggled on.
Universe Toggled Off
- The universe does not show up on the Apply page, regardless of the start/end date range.
- Applicants cannot start a new request within the universe.
- Existing requests within the universe are not affected.
- For example, applicants working on a draft form (e.g. application, follow up) can still submit the form if you toggle the universe off.
- A hard due date (set in the corresponding stage of the universe, e.g. the application stage) or an administrator abandoning a request would prevent an applicant from submitting a form.
- For example, applicants working on a draft form (e.g. application, follow up) can still submit the form if you toggle the universe off.
- The universe can be archived, keeping the Process Manager page organized.
Opportunity Toggled On
- When an applicant submits the common portion of their application, the system checks their eligibility for each opportunity that is toggled on.
Opportunity Toggled Off
- The system will not check applicants' eligibility for opportunities that are toggled off.
- This functions to hide the opportunity from applicants.
- If the opportunity is toggled back on, testing is necessary to determine if applicants are eligible for the opportunity. Details are available in Universal Application: Test Untested Opportunities.
