Universes can be toggled to available or not available on the Process Manager page or from the Update Universe page. Opportunities within a universe can be toggled to available or not available from the Applicant Opportunities tab of the universe. Form changes can be made with the universe toggled to available or not available.
Universe Toggled to Available
- Click Tools on the upper navigation bar, and then click Process Manager.
- Click the Available toggle.
- The toggle will turn green when it is toggled to available.
- Alternatively, click the universe name.
- Click the Available toggle from the Update Universe page.
- Click the Available toggle from the Update Universe page.

- When the universe is toggled to available, the universe shows up on the Apply page for applicants regardless of the start/end date range.
- If it is within the start/end date range of the universe or if the universe does not have start and end dates, applicants can start a new request within the universe.
When toggling a universe to available, all opportunities within the universe are toggled to available by default.
- Opportunities can be toggled to available or not available again within a universe that is toggled to available.
Universe Toggled to Not Available

- Click the Not Available toggle.
- The toggle will turn gray when it is toggled to not available.
- Alternatively, click the universe name.
- Click the Not Available toggle on the Update Universe page.
- Click the Not Available toggle on the Update Universe page.
- The toggle will turn gray when it is toggled to not available.
- The universe will not show up on the Apply page regardless of the start/end date range when the universe is toggled to not available.
- Applicants will not be able to start a new request within the universe.
- Existing requests within the universe are not affected.
- For example, applicants working on a draft form, such as an application or follow up, can still submit the form if the universe is toggled to not available.
- A hard due date set in the corresponding stage of the universe, such as the application stage, or an administrator abandoning a request would prevent an applicant from submitting a form.

Opportunity Toggled to Available
- Click Tools on the upper navigation bar, and then click Process Manager.
- Click the universe name.
- Click the Applicant Opportunities tab.
- Click the Available toggle next to the opportunity.
- The toggle will turn green when it is toggled to available.
- The toggle will turn green when it is toggled to available.
When an applicant submits the common portion of their application, the system checks their eligibility for each opportunity that is toggled to available.
Opportunity Toggled to Not Available
- Click Tools on the upper navigation bar, and then click Process Manager.
- Click the universe name.
- Click the Applicant Opportunities tab.
- Click the Not Available toggle next to the opportunity.
- The toggle will turn gray when it is toggled to not available.
- The toggle will turn gray when it is toggled to not available.
The system will not check applicants' eligibility for opportunities that are toggled to not available.
- This functions to hide the opportunity from applicants.
