Once one or more opportunities have been created and assigned to profiles, opportunity letters can be generated in a batch or individually.
Opportunity Letter Templates
Prior to creating opportunity letters, load an opportunity letter template in Templates. Example templates are available, or new ones can be created using the Opportunities Letter - All Fields example. Templates Overview provides guidance for building and uploading templates. Once a template is available, add it to the opportunity before processing letters.
Process Letters In Batch
Opportunity letters can be processed in a batch from the Opportunities page. Users can also run a Custom Report using the Opportunity object, and click Bulk Actions in the left-side menu to send letters in batch. Op Id must be selected as a field in the report for bulk actions to be available
- Navigate to the Opportunities page.
- Click the My Open, All Open, My Open/Closed, or All Opportunity Bucket.
- Apply filters if needed.
- Click Send Letter in the left-side menu.
- A list of open opportunities in the bucket you selected, with any applied filters, will appear on the next screen.
- Letters for closed opportunities cannot be generated.
- Check the box for the opportunities for which letters will be generated.
- Click the applicable document creation/notification action.
- Download - Depending on the file format selected, letters will be created in .pdf or .docx format.

Email - The letters will be emailed to the profile on the opportunity in the file format selected.
- The email subject and body can be customized in Opportunities Content. Any letters emailed will be logged on the profile's email history page.
- Check the Auto-Attach Document box to also attach the letter to the opportunity record.
- Click Print or Email Letter.
- A background job will be created above the opportunity table. Periodically refresh your browser. The opportunity letter file will be available once it is completed.
- If the Auto-Attach Document box was checked, the letter will be available on the opportunity record in the Attached Files section.

Process Letters Individually
Opportunity letters can be processed individually. Use the batch method and select a single opportunity, or follow the steps listed below.
- Navigate to the Opportunities page.
- Click the My Open, All Open, My Open/Closed or All Opportunity Bucket.
- Click the ID of the opportunity for which the letter will be generated.
- Click Send Letter in the left-side menu.
- Select a Recipient and format, and then click Download Letter.
- The Recipient drop-down menu will also list any connected profiles on the opportunity.
- A new tab with the opportunity letter will open with the letter ready to be downloaded in the selected format.
