Giving Hub and Portal content fields allow organizations to customize the text and messaging that displays throughout the online experience in CommunitySuite. These fields determine what profiles see when they interact with the Giving Hub, log into the Portal, and complete online transactions.
Organizations use content fields to create branded experiences, provide guidance specific to their processes, and communicate important information to different profile designations. Content can be customized for fund advisors, donors, grantees, students, vendors, customers, and nonprofits across both Giving Hub and Portal areas.

When to Customize Giving Hub and Portal Content
Customize Giving Hub and Portal Content to:
- Avoid blank areas of the Giving Hub and Portal.
- Customize welcome messages and headers for different profile designations: fund advisor, donor, grantee, student, vendor, customer, and nonprofit.
- Provide instructions or guidance for specific Portal sections like grant requests, voucher requests, or online donations.
- Create branded messaging for the Giving Hub, including the Grant Catalog, Event Tickets, Giving Cards, and Nonprofit Directory.
- Configure confirmation messages and thank you pages for online transactions.
- Set up automated email content for grant request confirmations or abandoned cart reminders.
- Redirect donors to custom landing pages after donations or ticket purchases.

Default content is listed as the last bullet for all content items. "Default content: None" means the field will be blank. Curly brackets { } show merge fields; square brackets [ ] show placeholder text to replace.
Giving Hub Content
- Navigate to the Portal Options page and click Giving Hub Content in the left-side menu.
Giving Hub Content fields control the text and messaging that displays throughout the Giving Hub, including the checkout process, Grant Catalog, ticketed events, Nonprofit Directory, and Profile Type directory.
Checkout
Checkout fields control messaging during the online donation and ticket purchase process, including headers, payment footers, thank you messages, and redirect options.
Online Donation Header
- Online Donation Header content displays within Donate to a Fund tab in the Giving Hub.
- Default content: Donate to any of these funds online. If you have any questions contact us at [xxx-xxx-xxxx] or by email [xxxx@xxxx.com].
Online Donation Payment Footer
- Online Donation Payment Footer content displays in the checkout stage when a donation is made from the Giving Hub.
- Default content: None.
- Example language: This contribution does not represent the payment of any pledge or other financial obligation. No goods or services were provided in return for your contribution. All contributions represent an irrevocable contribution to the foundation and are not refundable. Please consult with your tax professional regarding the value of your gift and your tax deduction.
Online Donation Thankyou
- Online Donation Thankyou content displays online after any donation or paid ticket purchase is completed.
- Default content: Thank you for your donation! Together we can make a difference. Return to the grant catalog or to make another donation.
Online Donation Thankyou Head Code
- Online Donation Thankyou Head Code content allows users to redirect from the default Thank You page after an online donation to a different landing page using HTML.
- Sample Code: <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="3; URL=https://www.SAMPLETEXT.com" />
- http-equiv=“refresh” tells the browser to redirect the page.
- content=“3; tells the browser how many seconds to wait before refreshing the page. In this example, it is three seconds. To make it an instant redirect, set it to 0.
- URL=https://www.SAMPLETEXT.com" tells the browser which URL to redirect users to.

- Grant Card Purchase Header content displays on the Giving Cards tab of the Giving Hub.

Grant Catalog
Grant Catalog fields control messaging for the Grant Catalog area of the Giving Hub, including headers, closed messages, and request submission content.
Grant Catalog Closed
- Grant Catalog Closed content displays when the grant catalog is not open yet or is over.
- Content will display within the Fund Management tab of the Portal and the Giving Hub if a grant catalog is closed.
- Default content: Sorry, the grant catalog is currently closed. Come back next year.
Grant Catalog Header
- Grant Catalog Header content displays as header text in the grant catalog of the Giving Hub.
- Default content: The following organizations have submitted proposals for the annual Community Grants process. The [foundationname] receives more requests than we can fund on our own. We welcome donations of any size to help fulfill these requests and sustain the great programs that serve our community. For more information, either click through to the organizations website or contact [foundationname].
Grant Catalog Request Create Header
- Grant Catalog Request Create Header content displays as header text on the top of the request page once the grantee has selected their name.
- Default content: Welcome to [foundationname] 2014 Grant Application. Complete and submit the following information by December 25, 2014. All fields are required (except the video link) and will be displayed in our online catalog for donors to help fund. The short description must be 65 characters or less. Photos must be .jpg or .png format and a min of 300 pixels; it will be cropped square when you submit, or rejected if not .jpg or .png or too small. Review your online application fields carefully and make a copy before your final submit. Contact us if you need to make changes after your final submission. Additional PDF Documents need to be uploaded and should include (as a PDF): -2014 Grant Application Form (for all requests) -Organization's mission statement (for requests over $2,500) -List of organization's current board members (for requests over $2,500) -Organization's annual budget and current financial statement including balance sheet and profit & loss statement (for requests over $2,500) -If this project is a collaborative effort, the application must include supporting letters from all participating nonprofits and agencies (for requests over $2,500).

Grant Catalog Request Submitted
- Grant Catalog Request Submitted content displays after a grantee has submitted their grant request.
- Default content: Thank you for your submission to the [foundationname] online grant application.
Campaign
Campaign fields control messaging for event ticket purchases in the Giving Hub, including headers, guest management, and thank you messages.
Online Ticket Add Guest
- Online Ticket Add Guest content displays at the top of the Your Tickets page of the Giving Hub.
- Default content: None.
- Example language: Your registration is not complete! Please click Add Guest Information below to provide your name and the names of any individuals attending, along with their event preferences.
Online Ticket Header
- Online Ticket Header content displays at the top of the Event Tickets page within the Giving Hub.

- Resend Guest Link content displays when the guest link is resent.
- Default content: None.
