Enable and Manage the DAFpay Integration

DAFpay is a donor-advised fund checkout option offered by Chariot. It appears on the donation pages of participating nonprofits, allowing a donor to recommend a grant from their DAF without leaving the nonprofit's fundraising page, donation form, or website. 

Fund advisors can now authorize DAFpay through a secure connection, and your foundation controls whether the option is available or not. 

Three things must be true before a grant can be submitted through DAFpay:

• The foundation has enabled the DAFpay integration in CommunitySuite.
• The fund advisor has access to the Fund Management Portal
• The individual fund advisor has connected their account through the DAFpay donation flow. 

Enable DAFpay (Site-Level)

To enable DAFpay in CommunitySuite:

1. Navigate to the System Data page and click Integrations in the left-side menu.
2. Click DAFpay in the left-side menu.
3. Click Enable DAFpay.
   
    
4. Click Save. 

Enabling the integration makes DAFpay available to your fund advisors. It does not connect any advisor automatically. Each fund advisor opts in individually through the steps in the For Fund Advisors: Connect DAFpay section.

Disable DAFpay (Site-Level)

To disable DAFpay in CommunitySuite:

1. Navigate to the System Data page and click Integrations in the left-side menu
2. Click DAFpay in the left-side menu.
3. Click Disable DAFpay.
   
    
4. Click Save. 

Disabling the integration revokes access for all connected fund advisors at once. Grants can no longer be submitted to your funds via DAFpay. Grants already submitted and in process are not affected. You can re-enable the integration with DAFpay at any time. 

For Fund Advisors: Connect DAFpay

Fund advisors connect to DAFpay through the donation flow rather than through the Portal.

To connect to DAFpay:

1. On a participating nonprofit's donation page, select DAFpay at checkout.
2. Search for and select your community foundation within DAFpay.
3. DAFpay will redirect the Fund Advisor to their Fund Management Portal in a separate window to sign in and approve the connection.
4. The fund advisor will be automatically redirected back to DAFpay to complete their grant recommendation.

Authorization is a one-time step per fund advisor. After the first connection, DAFpay is available for future donations without signing in again. 

For Fund Advisors: Remove DAFpay Connection

Once fund advisors have authorized and connected to DAFpay, they will see a DAFpay tab in the Profile tab of the Fund Management tab of the Portal. Fund advisors can remove the connection from this tab.

To remove DAFpay access:

1. Log in to the Fund Management tab of the Portal.
2. Click the Profile icon and then click DAFpay in the left navigation.
   
    
3. Click Remove Connection.
   

Removing access disconnects DAFpay from that advisor's account only. Grants already submitted are not affected, and the advisor can reconnect at any time by going through the donation flow again.
