There are two options for extending the deadline for a process that is already accepting requests: changing the hard deadline to a soft deadline or changing the date of the hard deadline. A soft deadline means that the applicant will see that their form is overdue after the deadline but they can still submit the form. Hard deadlines can be changed if a form's due date has already passed and the applicant has started the request but has not yet submitted it. The applicant will be able to submit their application until the date of the new deadline. Hard deadlines can be updated from the applicable process stage, the User Summary page, and the Application Draft workload page.
The start and end dates of the process in the Edit Process Summary control the applicants' ability to start a new request. If the end date for the process has passed, no new draft requests can be started, even if the application deadline is extended.
Change a Hard Deadline to a Soft Deadline
- Click Tools on the upper navigation bar, and then click Process Manager.
- Click the process name.
- Click the applicable process stage.
- Hard deadlines can be turned off on the LOI, Application, and Follow Ups stages.

- Click the Hard Deadline toggle to turn it off.

Edit the Hard Deadline Date
Edit the Hard Deadline Date From the Process Stage
- Click Tools on the upper navigation bar, and then click Process Manager.
- Click the process name.
- Click the applicable process stage.

- Click the date and time field to update the auto configured deadline date.
- Select the new date, hour, and time.
- This new deadline will apply to any new requests started in the process.

- Click the pencil icon next to Hard Deadline.
- Check the box next to each request to update the hard deadline date for the requests in the Application Draft workload page, and then click the date and time field.
- Select the new date, hour, and time, and then click Save.
Edit the Hard Deadline Date From the User Summary Page
- Navigate to the User Summary Page for the user.
- Click the Request History tab.
- Click Edit Deadlines.
- Check the box next to each request that needs the hard deadline updated, and then click the date and time field.
- Select a new date, hour, and time, and then click Save.
Edit the Hard Deadline Date From the Application Draft Workload Page
- From the Dashboard, click the Application Draft workload page.
- Click the paper and pencil icon next to the request that will be updated.
- Click Edit Deadline.
- Click the date and time field.
- Select the new date, hour, and time, and then click Save.
