Commonly used reports in CommunitySuite help development teams identify donor giving patterns, including lapsed donors and first-time donors. These reports are run using Profile Filter Reports or the Donor Report.
Who: Development staff and donor relations teams tracking donor engagement and giving history.
When to Use These Reports
Use these reports to:
- Identify donors who gave last year but have not given this year (LYBUNT).
- Identify donors who gave in a prior year but have not given this year (SYBUNT).
- Find donors who gave for the first time within a specific date range.
- Find donors who gave for the first time to a specific fund or list of funds.
Last Year But Unfortunately Not This Year (LYBUNT)
Where: Profile Filter Reports
To produce a 2024 LYBUNT List in Profile Filter Reports, apply these filters:
- Reverse Filter: Donation Date (Not) After 2023-12-31
- Add Filter: Donation Date Before 2023-01-01
- This looks at each profile, not household links, and will pull in a household profile even if one member of the household already gave this year.
Some Year But Unfortunately Not This Year (SYBUNT)
Where: Profile Filter Reports
To produce a 2024 SYBUNT List in Profile Filter Reports, apply these filters:
- Reverse filter: Donation Date (Not) After 2023-12-31
- Add filter: Donation Date Before 2024-01-01
- This looks at each profile, not household links, and will pull in a household profile even if one member of the household already gave this year.
First Time Donor in Time Range
Where: Profile Filter Reports
To produce a first time donor report for 2024 in Profile Filter Reports, apply these filters:
- Add Filter: Donation Date after 2023-12-31
- Reverse Filter: Donation Date before 2024-01-01
First Donation Date is also listed in the Donor Report.
First Time Donor to Specific Fund
Where: Donor Report
To produce a first time donor report for a specific fund in the Donor Report, apply these filters:
- Add Filter: Donation Filters, Funit ID, select fund
Giving columns will display data related to funds selected in the filter.
