The Spendable Balance reflects the amount available for distribution in a fund, calculated from distributions, also known as spending policies, and donations toward the spendable. It displays at the fund level in CommunitySuite and in the Fund Management tab of the Portal for fund advisors. If a fund is endowed, you can track its principal and spendable balance by checking the Endowed and Track Spendable boxes. A non-endowed fund can also track the spendable balance.
Who: Staff who manage fund balances, and fund advisors who monitor spendable balance through the Fund Management tab of the Portal.
Spendable Balance on a Fund Record
The spendable balance displays in the Distributions section of the Settings tab on a fund record, as shown below.

The spendable balance is also visible to fund advisors in the Fund Summary left navigation in the Fund Management tab of the Portal.
