Stripe is the online payment credit card processor that integrates with CommunitySuite's Giving Hub. Donations that come in through the Giving Hub will be processed with Stripe, and users can use the Stripe checkout process to complete their donations.
Who: Staff members who support donors, fund advisors, and other constituents with completing online donations through the Giving Hub.
Complete Stripe Checkout
To complete the Stripe checkout process from the Giving Hub:
- Initiate a donation from the Giving Hub.
- For steps to initiate a donation from different Giving Hub pages up to Stripe checkout, see Giving Hub Setup and Configuration. This resource also details the different checkout options, such as subscribing to a newsletter and covering credit card fees.
- Before checkout, review your donation and contact information, and then click Continue.
- Select a payment method on the Stripe payment page.
- A card or bank account can be used as the payment method.
- Enter your payment information.
- If Link is enabled in Stripe, uncheck the Save my information for faster checkout box.
- Leaving this box checked can cause processing issues. If Link has been disabled by the organization, this step is not necessary. It is recommended to disable this in Stripe.
- Click Pay to complete the checkout process.
After the payment is submitted, a custom thank you message will appear. Donors can close the page or continue donating on the Giving Hub.
