Donations given through the Giving Hub can be made in honor of or in memory of tributes provided the Giving Hub and tributes are configured for that usage. There are two options for designating a tribute on an online donation. After navigating to the Giving Hub and selecting a fund, the options become available.
Search Existing Tributes
Prior to using this option on the Giving Hub, tributes must have a public status, and the Search Public Tributes setting must be enabled. Additionally, No Memorials cannot be enabled in Portal Options Settings. When this configuration exists, then donors will have access to search existing tributes.
Add Other Tribute
No Memorials cannot be enabled in Portal Options Settings in order for online donors to designate their donation is a tribute. Donors will click Other Tribute which will activate additional fields that include the type of tribute, person being remembered, who to notify, and the method of notification.
Additional Information
When the donation is processed, tribute information will be attached to the donation record and the organization can send notifications.
Tribute notifications for online donations are not automatically sent to the notification recipient. They can be generated in bulk.
