If someone gave money to your foundation via a non-credit card payment method and it was recorded as a profile payment, you can refund the invoice(s) and/or donation(s) attached to the profile payment.
Refund Profile Payment Donation
You can Refund a Non-Credit Card Donation that's attached to a profile payment by creating a negative donation and a voucher for the reimbursement. This maintains the record of the original transaction. If there are multiple donations on the profile payment that need to be refunded, repeat the process for each donation.
Refund Profile Payment Invoice
- Navigate to the profile payment record that needs to be refunded.
- Click [delete] next to the profile payment invoice you'd like to refund.
- This unlinks the invoice and profile payment records.
- This unlinks the invoice and profile payment records.
- You're now on the invoice record. Navigate back to the profile payment.
- Click Refund With Check on the left-side menu.
- Enter the amount you want to refund, then click Create Voucher.
- Now the profile payment has a voucher record rather than the invoice record and you can Post and Pay the Voucher.
