Because a request is associated with an applicant, the request is located within the same organization as the applicant. In order to move a request to a new organization, the applicant with which that request is associated must be moved to the new organization. Once you've done so, you can reassign the request to a different applicant within the new organization, and then move the original applicant back to the original organization if needed.
- Navigate to the User Summary page for the applicant connected to the request. Clicking the applicant's name will bring you to this page.
- Click the pencil icon.
- Click the Organization drop-down and select the organization to which you need to move the request.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
- The applicant and all of their requests are now located within the new organization in the system. If this is what you were trying to achieve, you can stop here. If you need to move the applicant (and their other requests) back to the original organization, continue to the next steps.
- Click the Request History tab.
- Click the Project Name of the request that needs to stay with this new organization.
- Click Advanced Options.
- Click the Reassign To drop-down and select the appropriate contact at this new organization to assign the request to, or select Unassigned.
- Click Reassign.
- Click the Organization Name.
- Click the Contacts tab.
- Click the pencil icon next to the applicant that you need to move back to the original organization.
- Click the Organization drop-down and select the original organization.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page. The applicant and their other requests are now located back within the original organization.
If the request you are moving is linked to CommunitySuite, it will need to be unlinked before you can move it. Once a grant is unlinked from CommunitySuite, it cannot be relinked. The CommunitySuite and GLM/SLM Integration Overview contains additional resources that can help you manage your linked grants. If you have additional questions, please reach out to our support team before unlinking any grants.
